Rams' veteran linebacker Von Miller will not play in the upcoming game against the San Francisco 49ers unless the organization believes his ankle injury is close to fully healed. According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, there is no certainty that Miller will be available in Monday night's game.
The linebacker is recovering from an injury he suffered during a game against the Cleveland Browns on October 21. Missing the game against the 49ers would mean that Miller could garner another week of rest, as the Rams have a bye-weekend the week after. The team's next game would be against the Green Bay Packers on November 28th.
Miller is still listed as questionable for the game against the 49ers, and will have his status determined after more tests before the game. The former Denver Bronco missed last week's game against the Titans, and is still looking to make his debut with the Rams.
The Rams acquired the veteran earlier this month for second and third round draft picks. With aspirations to make a huge run in the playoffs, Los Angeles brought in the linebacker with hopes to bolster their defense. Currently sitting with a record of 7-2, the team has proven their ability to play with the best of the best. The defense, led by Aaron Donald and Jalen Ramsey, will enjoy Von Miller's debut to an already potent lineup.
