The Miami Dolphins play their first game of the 2019 NFL season on Sunday. Evidently, that's enough time to add some extra depth. For Miami, that depth is coming on the offensive line.
The Dolphins have signed veteran free agent offensive tackle J'Marcus Webb to a contract.
Never too late to add depth before the season begins. The #Dolphins are signing veteran OT J'Marcus Webb source said. He may help on the left side.

J'Marcus Webb is solid depth and definitely someone that can help the Miami Dolphins if needed. He's appeared in 81 games in his career, starting 65 of them.
That being said, Webb only appeared in one game last year for the Indianapolis Colts (a start). He didn't play any games in 2017 and appeared in nine (starting three) in 2016. In 2015, he did start all 16 games for the Oakland Raiders though.
What's so interesting about those last few years is the position. Webb didn't just play at tackle, he was inside at guard as well.

The Dolphins obviously lost a major offensive line piece earlier in the preseason, when they traded left tackle Laremy Tunsil. Losing the superstar immediately makes their offensive line much weaker.
While Webb isn't exactly Tunsil, he does restore the depth somewhat and if called upon has shown that he can handle his own in the trenches.
The Miami Dolphins have been selling their roster, parting ways with a lot of veteran and talented pieces. J'Marcus Webb isn't the most exciting addition in the wake of all that, but he's still a solid player to have on your roster.
