The Miami Dolphins are looking to build around Tua Tagovailoa. Despite his shortcomings, the Dolphins want to surround him with the talent to make it work. They have made a few solid signings but are now going for one of the best available free agents.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Pro Bowl offensive tackle Terron Armstead is flying to Florida to meet with the Dolphins. NFL Network's Cameron Wolfe added that the Dolphins are very interested in the New Orleans Saints' stud lineman and traction between the two sides has been heating up.

Last season, Miami's offensive line didn't give Tagovailoa much time in the pocket. Armstead would be a huge boost offense under new head coach Mike McDaniel. The 30-year-old is a three-time Pro Bowler. Having more protection for Tagovailoa will be huge as the ‘Fins look to finally break through and make the playoffs.

Miami has added more weapons around Tagovailoa — wide receiver Cedrick Wilson Jr. and running backs Chase Edmonds and Raheem Mostert — and guard Connor Williams. These moves are solid but the ultimate X-factor in the Dollphins' success is how Tagovailoa develops. His turnover proneness is a problem that needs fixing and adding Armstead could help. With a stronger offensive line, his decision-making could be better.

After a 9-8 season, Miami is looking to show that they are worthy of the postseason behind their young quarterback.
