Tua Tagovailoa made his first career start for the Miami Dolphins last week in a matchup against the Los Angeles Rams, and it was anything but a stellar debut. To be fair to the highly touted rookie, he could use some help from Miami's offensive line — something Dolphins guard Solomon Kindley seems to agree with.

Kindley came to the defense of Tagovailoa, saying that the team's offensive line has to provide better protection for the 22-year-old:

“We have to be perfect for him,” Kindley said, via Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald. “That was his very first game. . . . The offensive line has got to do a little bit more to get him comfortable. All week, this week, that’s what we’re emphasizing so we can give him the amount of time that he needs even more.”

In Sunday's 28-17 win over the Rams, Tagovailoa managed to complete just 12-of-22 passes for 93 yards and a touchdown He even got strip-sacked on his very first drop-back, which certainly did not bode well for his confidence.

It was a forgettable first start for the former Alabama standout, but as Kindley implied above, Miami's offensive line is much to blame for that. They will look to be much better for their young QB when they take on the Arizona Cardinals this week. This should provide Tagovailoa with a great bounce-back opportunity, so let's hope we all get to see the player the critics have long been raving about.
