The Miami Dolphins last season went through yet again another season of Ryan Tannehill. He's been their starter for seven straight seasons, and none of them has he actually impressed.
There were reports from the Miami Herald a few weeks ago saying that the organization would be moving on from his services. However, the front office told the press that this wasn't true. They wouldn't be making any rash decisions before the dust settled and they could collect their thoughts.
Tannehill only played 11 games for the Dolphins last season. He threw for only 1,979 with 17 touchdowns and nine interceptions. His completion percentage was an average 64.2 percent, and his quarterback rating was a terrible 33.1. He underperformed, as did the rest of the team
This led to the Dolphins firing Adam Gase. They then brought in a more defensive minded head coach. Former New England Patriots defensive coordinator Brian Flores.
The organization is looking to bring in a rookie quarterback. They would like to move on from mediocrity. Years of Tannehill has made the organization wary of bringing in a name like Teddy Bridgewater or Nick Foles.
