While it is no secret that former Los Angeles Chargers running back Melvin Gordon has already played his last snap for the AFC West franchise, it remains to be seen as to where the former first-round NFL Draft pick ultimately lands this offseason. Now officially an unrestricted free agent after previously holding out for a new contract from the Chargers last offseason, Gordon will surely have multiple suitors this spring as his market has already begun to take shape, so it appears.

According to a Monday evening report from Michael Fabiano of NFL Media, there are three teams that should seriously be considering Gordon at this point in the offseason. Because Gordon is certainly looking to become a true featured back moving forward, the Miami Dolphins, Atlanta Falcons, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers have emerged as the most likely suitors for the former Chargers rusher.

The Dolphins notably parted ways with current Arizona Cardinals running back Kenyan Drake midway through last season and have yet to find a true No. 1 running back since that time. While the Dolphins have been as active as active gets early on in the free agency window, it doesn't appear as though Miami is done spending just yet.

The Falcons need a new starting running back as well, while Atlanta notably released Pro Bowl running back Devonta Freeman on Monday. Remaining in the NFC South division, the Buccaneers may be done with the running back by committee approach while head coach Bruce Arians is also looking to lure future Hall of Fame quarterback Tom Brady away from the heralded New England Patriots while adding Gordon would surely help that situation.
