It is never a good sign when your two best receivers are disgruntled. One doing his best to circulate trade rumors without actually saying he wants to be traded, and another calling out his quarterback for basically being incapable of throwing an accurate deep ball. Although the season hasn't exactly gotten off to the start Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen was hoping for, Sunday's game against the New York Giants could serve as a “get right” game for him and the Vikings as a whole.

Here are three things to watch out for this Sunday.

3. Thielen will see 10-plus targets

Thielen didn't seem to mince his words after last Sunday's loss to the Bears, a game that only saw the Vikings' offense score six measly points. In that game, Thielen was only able to get six yards on two receptions.

By this time last year, he was coming into Week 5 with 40 receptions and 473 yards under his belt, compared to just 13 receptions for 179 yards so far this season. You can understand his frustration and so can quarterback Kirk Cousins.

After being called out, Cousins will do his best to feed Thielen as much as he can. He will go for over 100 yards and being targeted more than 10 times against a Giants defense that sits in the bottom 10 in passing yards allowed this season.

Cousins will look to make up for his disappointing performances so far this season, with Thielen benefitting this Sunday.

2. He will get into the end zone, twice

Only seeing the end zone two times so far this season for the Vikings, Thielen will look to get a bit more familiar with that end of the field this Sunday. Again, Cousins will do his best to look for Thielen almost every time he drops back and being that Thielen is one of the best route runners in the game, it won't be hard to find him against this New York secondary .

This is a get right game for Thielen as much as it is for Cousins, as he will look to prove that he is the same receiver that dominated the league last year.

1. The deep ball he's been calling for will be there this Sunday

Last week, Thielen's yards per reception was just three, but after calling for the deep ball to be thrown he will see plenty this Sunday.

Let's not forget that Stefon Diggs is lining up beside him, giving the Giants another threat they must look out for which will leave Thielen in better positions to succeed and get down field. I foresee his yards per reception being closer to 17 or 20 than three.

While these predictions are nice, they won't mean a thing if Cousins continues to disappoint the Vikings.
