The Minnesota Vikings' offense has been as one-dimensional as it could be thus far this season. It has basically been giving the ball to Dalvin Cook and let him work.

The results have been largely positive through three weeks, as the Vikings have gone 2-1 behind three straight 100-yard performances by Cook, but at some point, Minnesota is going to have to start diversifying its offense.

In other words, Kirk Cousins needs to start making plays, especially this Sunday, as the Vikings will battle the Chicago Bears, the team that probably has the best defense in the NFL.

Let me just say this: I would be very surprised if the formula Minnesota has been using over the first three games works this weekend. The Bears are allowing only 68.7 rushing yards per game, so if the Vikings try to force-feed Cook, they will almost surely run into problems.

The last thing you can do against Chicago's defense is one-dimensional. The Bears will eat you up and spit you out.

Minnesota cannot expect Cook to rack up 100 yards again, so it's about time Cousins starts taking advantages of the bevy of weapons he has at his disposal.

That's the thing with the Vikings. They have offensive talent. Whether it's Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs at wide receiver or Kyle Rudolph and rookie Irv Smith Jr. at tight end, Minnesota has pieces other than Cook.

It's hard to pinpoint the exact problem with Cousins thus far. He isn't the best quarterback in the world. That we get. But he wasn't this bad in 2018, as he completed 70.1 percent of his passes and threw 30 touchdown passes.

This year? He is completing just 58.7 percent of his throws and has totaled just three touchdowns. In Cousins' defense, the Vikings have not been putting the ball in his hands all that much, as he has only thrown 63 passes, but the one time he did throw a lot in Week 2, he went just 14-for-32.

That is not going to fly against the Bears, especially on the road. If that Kirk Cousins shows up, Chicago will win this game easily.

Make no mistake: the Vikings' offense needs to start showing some signs of life outside of Cook. Not just against the Bears, but in general.

I expect that Minnesota will try to make things a bit a more complex on Sunday, but whether or not it actually works is completely dependent on the right arm of Cousins.

Basically, if you are relying on any of Vikings players in Fantasy Football this week, you might run into some problems.
