Cook has been steadily pushing forward over the last few months, as he has been able to practice without any limitations w, which bodes well for what may lie ahead. His activity level on the practice field has picked up as he hopes to jump back into the fold as a major factor in the offensive game plan. The Vikings will likely ease him back given he's returning from a major injury.
The Vikings have made it clear thatCook will be a centerpiece of their offense over the long haul given his performance in his brief action in the 2017 season. He 3qw on pace to make a strong run at the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year award after recording 354 rushing yards and hauling in 11 catches for 90 receiving yards through the first month of the season. Cook will likely be featured in a similar role as a dual threat out of the backfield.
Cook could put together a breakout year that establishes himself as one of the top young running backs in the league. In the meantime, it looks like the Vikings offense will be at full strength heading into Week 1 against San Francisco.
