It looks like the Minnesota Vikings are returning to their practice facility after receiving zero positive COVID-19 tests, according to the team's head trainer and VP of sports medicine Eric Sugarman.
“We will return to the facility tomorrow as a team and we will return with very enhanced protocols,” stated Sugarman in a team-released statement.
The Vikings were put into a mild panic moment after having to shut down facilities and test players after a contest against the Tennessee Titans. The Titans had three players along with five staff members test positive for COVID-19 as of Tuesday, forcing the Vikings to follow proper protocols in the event that a player or staff member had contracted the virus during their matchup.
Article Continues BelowThe Titans, meanwhile, have been forced to postpone their matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 4. They've also had an additional player test positive, furthering their decision to remain inactive ahead of Sunday.
The Vikings haven't been enjoying a productive season so far, as they're still in grind mode for their first win of the season. They'll look to get a win against a Houston Texans team that is also in search of their first win of the season as well. The Texans were also dealing with a flurry of COVID-19 issues, though none of them posed a threat as they returned false-positive results.
The Vikings will once again attempt to throw a rock at the sun in terms of quarterback Kirk Cousins' chances in turning out a decent performance to give them their first win.
