It wasn't long ago that there was talk about wide receiver Stefon Diggs potentially wanting to be traded by the Minnesota Vikings. Since then, he has put together some very impressive performances.

Over his last three performances, Diggs has managed to total 453 receiving yards and that is the most receiving yards within a three-game span by a single-player in Vikings history. That is quite the accomplishment given the collection of talented receivers that have played for their organization during their history.

“I felt some yards out there on the field,” Diggs said, via John Shipley of the Twin Cities Pioneer Press. “It was a good day team-wise.”

After recording seven receptions and 143 receiving yards, Diggs has now surpassed the 140-yard mark in three consecutive performances. His streak of consecutive 140-yard performances was enough to tie a franchise record set by Randy Moss in 2001.

A factor that contributed to Diggs' impressive display was the expectation of the Redskins using a ‘matchup defense' as they have throughout the season. Having a firm understanding of the opposition's defense seemed to pan out in ways that he expected.

“They just played the same defense that we expected,” he said. “They have played a matchup defense all year, so I expected that no matter who was playing.”

The recent production that Diggs has provided the Vikings has come at an ideal time given that Adam Thielen has been impacted by injury lately.
