The Minnesota Vikings have moved previously injured quarterback Teddy Bridgewater to the active roster on Wednesday. A move that will certainly make a ton of people in that fan base more happy than a turkey making it through Thanksgiving without being eaten by humans.

The Vikings made the roster move announcement on the mean streets of Twitter:

Also of note, Sam Bradford was officially placed on the injured reserve list, likely ending his season.

There are a bunch of other things we should note. Mostly that, just because he will be on the active roster this week, it doesn't inherently mean Teddy Bridgewater will be starting in Minnesota's next game. It will likely depend if the coaching staff feels as though he is ready to get back on the proverbial horse or not.

Bridgewater returned to practice just a few weeks ago. At the time, per Pro Football Talk’s Josh Alper.

Vikings coach Mike Zimmer confirmed that Bridgewater has been given medical clearance to begin practicing for the first time in 14 months and that he will do just that on Wednesday. That will open a three-week window for the Vikings to evaluate Bridgewater in practice before deciding whether to add him to their active roster.

Apparently Zimmer saw enough to bring him all the way back.

Again, even if you're not a huge Vikings fan, you can't help but feel happy for Bridgewater. After suffering an injury so bad that it was once rumored he might lose his leg, he is back to being an official member of an NFL roster.

Here is to hoping he can reach his full potential.
