New England Patriots quarterback Cam Newton has officially been activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list, meaning he will likely suit up this weekend against the Denver Broncos.
It as previously reported Newton was expected to rejoin the Pats once they resumed practice on Thursday. Field Yates of ESPN reported Cam has indeed been activated, meaning he should be a full go on Sunday.

Newton's positive test the Saturday morning of a scheduled Week 4 matchup against the Chiefs set off a chain of events.
New England's game with Kansas City was postponed to the following Tuesday. Cornerback Stephon Gilmore then tested positive following the loss, and additional positives throughout the league resulted in the NFL postponing Patriots-Broncos (originally scheduled for Week 5) to this Sunday.
But Bill Belichick has taken the necessary steps to ensure caution, postponing practices and shutting down the team facility until further notice. It appears the Patriots have the issue mostly squared away, and Newton will return under center against Denver.
The former NFL MVP had gotten off to a fast start prior to being sidelined with the coronavirus. Newton rushed for a pair of scores in the team's first two games and also threw for nearly 400 yards in a Week 2 loss to the Seattle Seahawks.
Cam will look to pick things up where he left off against a Broncos defense that has struggled to limit opponents through the air.
Denver should be hungry for a win, particularly considering Drew Lock is likely to start after missing multiple weeks with a shoulder injury. However, the Pats will hope Newton can perform and get them back over the .500 mark.
