New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady finally addressed the talk about Dez Bryant being interested in joining the Pats in an interview on WEEI's Kirk and Callahan show. The Patriots have had questions all offseason regarding the wide receiver position, and with Julian Edelman suspended for the first four games, the need for depth at the position is even more glaring.
They brought in Eric Decker, but he decided to retire after the team reportedly considering cutting him. They also parted ways with Kenny Britt. One name that keeps popping up as a possibility for New England is Dez Bryant, who visited the Cleveland Browns recently, although no deal has been reached.
Brady was asked about possibly bringing Bryant in. The future Hall of Famer complimented Bryant's abilities, but he wouldn't go as far as saying he wanted the team to sign him.

I think he is obviously a helluva player, but I don’t make those situations for our team and I don’t go in there and tell them who I want,” Brady said, via WEEI.com. “That is not the position I have ever played here. You just respect our team for what they are looking for and our personnel people. My job is to play quarterback and whoever is here, that is who I have to make it work with.”
There hasn't been any indication that the Patriots have any level of interest in Bryant, but there is no question he would improve their wide receiver corps, at least on the field.
