This season hasn't been extremely friendly for Tom Brady. The New England Patriots quarterback has performed so poorly against the Kansas City Chiefs that he heard an unfamiliar sound–the team's own fans were booing him.

It'd be easy to think that Brady was affected by the jeers sent his way by the fans he was playing for if he heard it. However, it seems like it's just business as usual for one of the NFL's most successful quarterbacks. He knows that the only way he can get these fans back on his side is to perform well.

According to Pro Football Talk's Michael David Smith, Brady confirmed that he heard those jeers. Asked about its effect on his game and confidence, he provided a rather blunt answer.

“You hear cheers, you hear boos, that’s part of being in sports,” Brady said.

Asked what he wanted to do after hearing the boos, Brady answered, “Try to go in and play better.”

Brady had a poor outing in the pocket, completing only 169 passing yards and one touchdown. To make matters worse, he turned the ball over once with a poor pass. The Patriots defense tried to keep the Chiefs from blowing them out of the water. However, Brady's poor night eventually proved to be too much to overcome in the end.

This loss also brings up the question of Tom Brady's future. While he's shown that he can still play at 42-years-old, he doesn't look like the pass-caller the Patriots need to win the Super Bowl. This game might have an impact on Brady's future as a player.
