When the Atlanta Falcons managed to not only defeat the New Orleans Saints at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome it was surprising to see. However, managing to accomplish that feat with the final score being 26-9 was even more unpredictable.

Both teams will have their own reasons to be motivated to get a win in this matchup. Having everyone's eyes on their game is enough, but the Saints are looking to maximize their seeding in the NFC playoff picture while the Falcons would surely enjoy spoiling that.

Racking up wins will be especially important for the Saints given that they face a pivotal game against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 14. They will need to get the job done against the Falcons to be in a position to take the top seed in the NFC playoff picture with a potential win over the 49ers.

Here are three bold predictions for the Falcons when they take on the Saints on Thanksgiving.

3. The Falcons will have no answer for Drew Brees

The Week 11 win for the Falcons required a performance from Drew Brees that featured only 287 passing yards and no touchdowns. It's very difficult to envision them being able to contain Brees in a similar fashion again.

The Saints put up 34 points in back-to-back weeks against the other two teams in the NFC South, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 11 and the Carolina Panthers in Week 12. They will have similar success against the Falcons this go around.

2. Michael Thomas will have a ‘hat trick'

It seems that no team has an answer for Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas and the Falcons won't be an exception. He has racked up an incredible 104 receptions that have led to 1,242 receiving yards and six touchdowns.

It's clear as day at this point that Thomas is more than just one of the top players in the NFL. Thomas will take it a step further and help reinforce his case for the 2019 MVP award by hauling in three touchdown grabs.

1. The Falcons will get blown out

With Julio Jones being ruled out for this game, the Falcons are going to mightily struggle to produce on the offensive side of the ball. Considering how they will probably experience shortcomings with slowing down the Saints' offense, that's a recipe for a blowout.

It doesn't help the Falcons that the Saints are surely going to be looking to make a statement on their rivals' home field after being embarrassed in their previous matchup.
