The New Orleans Saints welcome the Arizona Cardinals into the Superdome for a Week 8 showdown that could feature a lot of fireworks.
The big question surrounding the Saints is who will be starting under center. Drew Brees said earlier this week that he plans to play but even if he can't go, the team can turn to Teddy Bridgewater who hasn't lost a game yet this year that he started.
So what will the Saints offense do on Sunday afternoon? Let's breakdown three bold predictions.
3. Saints rush for 150 yards
Alvin Kamara looks like he has a chance to play but if he can't go, Latavius Murray still has proven he can run wild. Last week against the Chicago Bears who are considered to have a great rush Murray had a big game rushing 27 times for 119 yards and two touchdowns.
The Cardinals defense overall has been bad and that isn't going to change this week. On the season the Cardinals are giving up 129.1 yards per game on the ground, which is 25th in the league.
No matter who starts in this game at quarterback they are going to key in on pounding the rock. It wouldn't be shocking to see the Saints rack up 200 yards on the ground but let's be conservative and say 150.
2. Michael Thomas has another big game… if Bridgewater starts
Remember when people were concerned about Michael Thomas's production because Bridgewater was taking over at quarterback.
Not only is Thomas doing just fine, but it could also actually be argued he is playing better. Bridgewater has keyed in on Thomas as is the favorite receiver and continues to throw it to him.
Against the Bears, Thomas caught nine passes for 131 yards. If Brees does come back the ball might get spread around more and he might finish under 100 yards.
If Bridgewater does get the start, Thomas is going to finish over 100 yards.
1. Saints score 35 or more
It doesn't matter who starts in this game, the Saints are going to score at least 35 points. The Cardinals are giving up 27.4 points per game which is 28th in football.
The Saints offense is going to march up and down the field with very little resistance from the Cardinals. Kyler Murray is also going to turn the ball over a few times which is going to give the Saints some short fields.
If the Saints wouldn't take their foot off the gas in the second half, they really could drop 50 on this team.
