The New Orleans Saints have placed an original-round tender on cornerback Ken Crawley, according to Josh Katzenstein of The New Orleans Times-Picayune. The tender is worth $2.025 million and means he will likely be back with the Saints next season.
Crawley is coming off of a 2018 campaign in which he struggled and played in just 10 games as a result, finishing with 31 tackles and six passes defended. He began the season as a starter, but was quickly demoted.
The 26-year-old, who played his collegiate football at the University of Colorado, went undrafted but landed with the Saints in May 2016.
He appeared in 15 contests during his rookie campaign, totaling 43 tackles, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery, and eight passes defended. Then, the following season, Crawley started all 13 games in which he participated, registering 54 tackles, a pick, and 17 passes defended.

The Saints won 13 games this past season, capturing the NFC South division title and earning the best record in the NFL overall. They went on to defeat the Philadelphia Eagles in the Divisional Round of the playoffs before suffering a devastating overtime loss to the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC Championship Game the following week.
That marked the second year in a row that New Orleans lost a heartbreaker in the postseason, as they were defeated on the final play of the game by the Minnesota Vikings in the Divisional Round the year before.
