The New Orleans Saints have released wide receiver Cameron Meredith, according to Herbie Teope of The New Orleans Times-Picayune.
Meredith is coming off of a 2018 campaign in which he was limited to just six games due to a knee injury that ultimately landed him on the injured reserve list in November. During the time he was on the field, he logged nine catches for 114 yards and a touchdown.
The Saints signed Meredith to a two-year deal in April 2018.
Meredith, who played his collegiate football at Illinois State, went undrafted but eventually landed with the Chicago Bears in 2015. He went on to appear in 11 contests that season but had a very limited role, finishing with just 11 catches for 120 yards.

The 26-year-old appeared set to be the Bears' top wide out heading into 2017, but he suffered a torn ACL during the preseason, knocking him out for the entire 2017 campaign.
Due to his talent and his one year of production in 2016, Meredith will likely find a home somewhere this summer, but hopefully, he is actually able to stay on the field.
The Saints won 13 games and captured the NFC South division title this past year, locking down the best record in the NFL in the process. They then went on to defeat the Philadelphia Eagles in the Divisional Round of the playoffs before falling to the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC Championship Game the following week.
