Nola, also known as the record-breaking destination. Six days after Drew Brees broke the NFL's all-time record for touchdown passes, New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas broke the single-season record for receptions with 145.
Brees reacted to Thomas' record-breaking day on Instagram. He said: “So proud of my guy Michael Thomas for breaking the single-season receptions record today! Truly an unbelievable accomplishment. No one deserves it more!”

Thomas finished Sunday's bout with the Tennessee Titans with a serious stat line, recording 12 receptions for 136 yards and a touchdown. He did so in a comeback effort to win Nashville.
Thomas passed Marvin Harrison (2002) to break the record. He did so in just his fourth season in the NFL. Since the Saints made him a second round pick out of Ohio State in 2016, he has acted as one of the league's most consistent forces as a receiver. His statistics just prove that.
Thomas has dominated in 2019. There's no question about that. He broke a 17-year record that many once considered untouchable in just 15 games. Now he has the opportunity to not only break it but also demolish it.
The Saints, with Thomas on-board, have one of the NFL's most feared offensive weapons. It's not as if they lack them without him, however, as he happens to play with a Hall of Fame-bound talent in Brees, one of the NFL's best running backs in Alvin Kamara and a fantastic offensive mind in coach Sean Payton. All of that culminates in a true Super Bowl contender in the Bayou.
