Week 2 saw a massive loss for the New Orleans Saints. They took one on the chin against the Los Angeles Rams, but more importantly Drew Brees went down with an injury. The Hall of Fame quarterback had to get surgery on his throwing hand and is now expected to be out at least six weeks.

That's a pretty obviously massive blow to the Saints. However, they shouldn't give up. They still have an immensely talented roster and it's time to see if Teddy Bridgewater can lead the team.

Meanwhile, Brees needs to focus on getting healthy. He's got a lot of supporters in that campaign as everyone wants to see him finish his career out strong and in style.

Amongst those supporters is Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson. He posted a video to Twitter wishing the fellow QB well.

In the video, Wilson thanks Brees for helping to pave the way for him. He talks about how he'll miss seeing the QB on the field and goes as far as calling him his “favorite quarterback”.

Obviously, the hope is that Brees heals up and is back healthy and ready to go at some point this year.

It is upsetting that we don't get to see this matchup though. Brees' Saints offense is legendary. Meanwhile, Wilson has turned into one of the more underrated quarterbacks in the league. Watching those two trade blows would've been very entertaining to watch.

It's time to see if Bridgewater has what it takes to weather this storm and keep the Saints' ship afloat. Can he keep the Saints afloat while Brees is out? We'll find out in the coming weeks.

Meanwhile, Wilson (and everyone else) will be hoping for a speedy recovery for Brees.
