The Washington Redskins are coming off their Week 10 Bye Week with a 1-8 record. It does not take a genius to realize that's really bad. However, they are going up against the 2-7 New York Jets in Week 11, so there is some hope.
More importantly, rookie Dwayne Haskins is starting at quarterback, and Derrius Guice is healthy at running back again. So at least there's a reason to watch.
How will Haskins perform in just his second career start though? Here are three bold predictions for the Washington quarterback in Week 11.
No Turnovers

Dwayne Haskins made two relief appearances before ever getting his first start in Week 9. In those two games, he threw 22 passes and had four interceptions.
However, those turnovers could have been the result of coming in cold more than anything else. Against an elite Buffalo Bills defense in Week 9, Haskins did not have a turnover. Proving that he can keep the ball in the offense's hands.
Now he's going up against a much worse New York defense. Still though, as rookie turnovers are expected a little more. Therefore, it would not be crazy at all to see him lose a fumble or throw another interception.
Instead, Haskins will keep the streak alive and go another start without a turnover. This will be another big step in his development and further proof that he's much more polished than some may think.
Multiple Touchdowns

Dwayne Haskins has yet to find the end zone for the Redskins. However, he's now starting. That gives him more time to prepare and practice with all the other starters. He's also going up against a very poor Jets defense.
So not only will Haskins throw his first touchdown pass, he'll get in the end zone multiple times. It will likely all be through the air, as he is much more of a pocket passer than anything else.
Article Continues BelowDon't be too shocked if he sneaks one in though. Although he's definitely more of the stay-in-the-pocket type, Haskins has shown he's not immobile. He can get around pretty nicely and already has a few solid runs under his belt.
Still, though, the smart money would be on the quarterback connecting through the air for his touchdowns.
Finds Terry McLaurin Often
Who will Dwayne Haskins connect with for the Redskins on those touchdowns though, you ask?
Well, the most obvious choice is Terry McLaurin. The rookie wide receiver has been the lone bright spot on offense in 2019.
In fact, McLaurin's five touchdown receptions are more than the rest of the team combined (four touchdown receptions).
Something crazy that I've seen is people saying Haskins playing will hurt McLaurin. The argument is that he didn't connect with him much in Week 9.
Simply put, that's ridiculous. McLaurin had four receptions (tied for the team lead) for 39 yards (second-most). The issue was how good the Buffalo defense was, Haskins wasn't going to have an easy time getting it to anyone.
Haskins and McLaurin have a ton of chemistry due to playing together at Ohio State. In Week 11 they'll prove that when the quarterback finds the receiver time-after-time.
