New York Jets running back Le'Veon Bell isn't around the team for voluntary minicamp but coach Adam Gase doesn't think there is any point of worry about it. Gase does expect that Bell will be around the team for the mandatory portion of camp and that is all that really matters.
“It’s voluntary,” Gase said Friday per Darryl Slater of NJ.com. “Everybody can get upset about it. There’s no point. We know where he is. He’s working out. He’s always been ready. Every year that he’s played, he’s been ready to go. That’s just what it is. If somebody doesn’t like it, then talk to the NFLPA.”
Even if Gase has different feelings about the situation this is about the only answer he can give on the situation. The NFLPA negotiated this part of the offseason to be voluntary and coaches or the team can't hold it against a player for not showing up.

“He was here that first week [of offseason workouts], and we got a lot of good information that week to him,” Gase said last month. “He has a pretty good training regimen that he goes through. He knows how to get his body ready for training camp and the regular season.”
If Bell doesn't show up for mandatory training then there will be some issues but for now, all signs point to him attending.
