There has been a lot of talk around New York Jets running back Le'Veon Bell and how many snaps he will take this season after sitting out last year. Bell talked to reporters on Thursday and said that he was willing to touch the ball 500 times if that means he will be raising the Lombardi Trophy at the end of the season.

He was the main running back with the Steelers and there was never a shortage of touches for the Jets biggest offseason acquisition.

Even though Bell is looking towards a big regular season, the team is still trying to be smart with how they use him in the preseason. Jets coach Adam Gase said he will play during the preseason, but the team is going to still limit him a bit.

“It’s a new offense,” Gase said Wednesday via The New York Daily News. “We’ll be smart. He’s not going to be walking out of camp with the most reps he’s ever had. We’ll find that line. We’ll find what the balance is. It’s going to be communication a lot of the time. We have an idea going in … If we have to adjust that plan, we will.”

Gase did admit the team already has a script together on how they will use Bell for the preseason. Once the regular season rolls around expect Bell to be a full go and for him to get a ton of reps. If the Jets are going to reach the Super Bowl, it will probably take Bell getting close to that 500 touches.
