Zach Wilson has had an up close and personal look at what Aaron Rodgers is like behind the scenes. The Green Bay Packers and New York Jets held a joint practice and eventually faced off in week 2 of the NFL preseason.

But the Packers' NFL MVP has also kept a watchful eye on the Jets' prized rookie QB. After watching his team fall to the Wilson-led Jets without him, 23-14, he couldn't help but heap praise on the kid.

“He’s a good young kid, has a nice disposition,” Rodgers said after the Packers loss. “That kid can throw the heck out of that ball and that was a nice one down the right sideline at the end of the first. I’m so excited for what he can do in this league.”

Rodgers has in turn been a mentor figure for Wilson in their brief opportunity to interact. The Packers star has had a controversy-filled offseason, but his love for football was never in question. He's not shying away from letting someone pick his brain, even if it is a young rival.

“I really just appreciate him as a man,” Wilson said of the Packers QB “He’s an awesome guy. He definitely doesn’t have to come up to me and say anything. I don’t expect him to, but it means the world to me that he’s able to come up to me, whatever advice it is.”

Aaron Rodgers knows guys like Zach Wilson could be next in line to take over the league and the Packers QB is more than willing to shed light on how to get it done.
