Sam Mustipher started 38 straight games for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish on the offensive line, but that wasn't enough to get him an invite to the NFL combine, something that was a bit surprising.
Many players would use this as a way to get others to feel bad for them, but Mustipher is taking it in stride and says he isn't bothered with the snub.

“It was definitely disappointing. But I couldn’t control it. I did what I had to do. I put out the necessary tape and I feel like I performed on the field this year. I don’t really focus on why it happened. Now it’s just what can I do from here on out.”
Mustipher called the combine after waiting for an invite and when they confirmed he wasn't invited he tried to look at the bright side of things, that he gets to spend a few more weeks in Southern California training with his offensive line coach.
“For somebody like me who has been playing football since he was five — watching the combine every year — that was definitely a dream of mine. But when I got the news, the way I saw it, I have the opportunity to stay out here a few extra weeks and get some individual training time with my offensive line coach.”
Mustipher is projected to be a late round pick or a priority undrafted free agent.
