U.S. Women's soccer star Carli Lloyd is seriously considering an offer to be a kicker for an NFL team. Last Thursday, Lloyd was invited to hang out during a Philadelphia Eagles practice, and during it, she decided to try her hand at kicking field goals.
She made some long field goals including one from 55 yards which started the talk about if she could make it as an NFL kicker. Lloyd has heard from some NFL teams about a chance to kick, and she said the last week has all been a blur.
“This has all been so wild,” Lloyd said via Fox Sports. “Can’t believe how big this has become.”
Lloyd said she has been having discussions with the people in her inner circle about if this is an opportunity she wants to pursue.

Her trainer James Galanis said a few teams have been in contact with her and some wanted her to play in their team's fourth preseason game.
“Today she got another call from another NFL team,” Galanis said on Monday. “The one that called today, I don’t want to say who it is, was willing to put her on the roster for their next (game). They were willing to put her on the roster.”
“She was told (she could) play on Thursday, the NFL game, but she is playing Thursday with the national team, so that was the conflict.”
It is still to be seen how it would all work out if she were on an NFL roster, but right now Lloyd is weighing the options and deciding her next move.
