Former Kansas City Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt could very well be back in the NFL by next season, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
In late November, a video was released that showed Hunt assaulting a female in a Cleveland area hotel last February. As a result, Hunt was placed on the commissioner's exempt list and was then released by the Chiefs.
Apparently, that is not all the NFL is investigating with Hunt. There was also an alleged altercation at a club and an incident where he punched a man at a resort, both of which the league has included with the assault in its investigative process.
It is believed that the investigation with conclude prior to free agency in March, but that there will likely be a six-game suspension coming for Hunt that will result in him missing a good chunk of the 2019 campaign.
