It has been several years since former tight end Kellen Winslow II has last played in the NFL.

However, things have taken a horrifying turn as Winslow II has been arrested as he faces numerous sex-crime charges that include counts for rape and kidnapping, according to Teri Figueroa of The San Diego Tribune.

The charges include two counts of forcible rape, one count of forcible sodomy and one count of forcible oral copulation. Other charges include kidnapping with the intent to commit rape, residential burglary and indecent exposure.

Among the charges in the complaint:

  • Kidnap, rape and forced oral copulation of a 54-year-old woman in March;
  • Kidnap, rape and sodomy of a 59-year-old woman in May;

Winslow attempted to get a bond but was denied by the judge for these alleged crimes that he has pleaded not guilty to committing. These numerous accounts could land the 34-year-old in prison for the rest of his life. These are serious disgraceful charges that are a complete downfall from what was a productive NFL career where he played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Cleveland Browns, Seattle Seahawks (only for a single preseason), New England Patriots, and New York Jets in 10 seasons.

There will be more to come in the near future with a thorough case that could come quite soon with the bond already being denied.
