NFL commissioner Roger Goodell is seemingly not yet to the point of wanting to discuss the controversy surrounding former Kansas City Chiefs star Kareem Hunt.

The second-year running back was recently released by the team after video surfaced of him kicking and shoving a woman at a Cleveland hotel earlier this year.

And now after clearing waivers on Monday, Hunt finds himself without a team.

But it appears that Goodell isn't ready to address Hunt's situation, as this video from TMZ Sports shows the commissioner completely ignoring multiple requests for comment on the league's rushing leader from a season ago.

It's no surprise to see Goodell going the silent route at this point, especially considering the magnitude of the situation.

It was reported on Wednesday that the Cleveland Divison of Police were launching their own investigation into the handling of Hunt's incident after the NFL received a copy of the police report through a non-official channel.

At this point, it seems unlikely that Hunt will be playing anytime soon. He's currently on the Commissioner's Exempt List, which means that he can't play or attend games should join a team.

After such an impressive rookie season that saw him rack up 1,327 yards on the ground, Hunt's career is certainly in jeopardy due to this situation.

The ball is now in the court of Goodell and company, who must decide what steps need to be taken moving forward when it comes to Hunt's future on the field.
