Joe Burrow is already getting comparisons to New England Patriots legend Tom Brady without playing a single minute of NFL football. While Burrow appreciates the high praise everyone is giving him, he's asking them to stop comparing him to the player he considers as the greatest quarterback to ever walk the Earth.
There has been plenty of talk about him having similar qualities to the six-time Super Bowl winner ahead of the 2020 NFL Draft, and it's reasonable that many have high hopes for him to perform well in the NFL.
He immediately made it a point to distance himself from such comparisons as he still hasn't played a minute of professional football, while Brady has won multiple championships with the Patriots.
Per Mass Live's Nick O'Malley:
“Please don’t compare me to the best player of all time. Let me do my own thing. Don’t do that to me, please,” Burrow said.
Burrow said this during his NFL Combine interview with Colleen Wolfe. The journalist was quick to point out that the comparison was meant to praise how complete of a quarterback Burrow is at this point of his career.

“It’s high praise, though,” Wolfe said to follow up.
“It is. But it’s Tom Brady,” Burrow said.
While he vehemently denies any resemblance to the Patriots star, it's important to note that he's considered as one of the best quarterback talents to come through in the recent years of the draft. In his senior year at LSU, he had 5,671 passing yards and 60 touchdowns while limiting his interceptions to six.
While his career doesn't hold a candle to Brady's, many are confident that he has the talent to chase after the impressive standard TB12 has set.
