Los Angeles Rams star wide receiver Cooper Kupp has been an unstoppable force this season. Kupp is on his way towards a historic finish to the season, as he needs 135 receiving yards to tie former Detroit Lions receiver Calvin Johnson for the NFL's single-season record. Needless to say, Kupp has been giving opposing defenses fits. However, the star wideout has also been giving his own defense trouble at practice. Here's how Kupp has made the Rams defense better.

“I joked about this last week when I talked to the local media and I said, ‘Man, I lock up Cooper Kupp all the time in practice and during camp,” Ramsey said. “I was half-serious and half-joking because honestly, me and Cooper have had some great battles – especially with me playing the ‘star’ role, he’s helped me elevate my game and try to perfect my short-area quickness. Just playing in the slot because he is dominant in that slot. He is the best in the league doing it.

Rams cornerback Jalen Ramsey spoke about how wideout Cooper Kupp has challenged him in practice. Ramsey, an infamous trash talker, joked that “he locks up” Kupp all the time at practice, but genuinely spoke about the battles the two have had.

Ramsey, who hasn't lined up in the slot that often in his career, credits Kupp, a slot monster, for helping him improve his quickness in the short areas, as well as his coverage out of the slot.

Not only is Cooper Kupp a handful for opposing corners, but he is a challenge for Rams teammate Jalen Ramsey, one of the league's premier shutdown corners.
