Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson was presented with the Steve Largent award prior to Monday night's game against the Minnesota Vikings.

Wilson has put together a solid season in leading the Seahawks to a 7-5 record entering the game, and he's embraced the new run-first mentality of the Seattle offense.

And his continued dedication to the success of the franchise has helped him grab another career honor that should certainly make fans very happy.

From Seahawks digital media reporter John Boyle:

Russell Wilson is the 2018 recipient of the Steve Largent award, which is currently being presented by Steve Largent. Voted on by teammates & given to the player who best exemplifies the spirit, dedication and integrity of the Seahawks.

Wilson has a 115.5 quarterback rating this year in what's been one of his most efficient seasons in the league.

While the Seahawks have chosen to commit to the run, Wilson has put together productive numbers in the passing attack in throwing for 2,716 yards and 29 touchdowns while posting only five interceptions.

Tonight's matchup against Minnesota is very important when it comes to Seattle's hopes at securing a playoff spot, with the two teams currently holding the final two seeds in the race for the postseason in the NFC.

If the Seahawks can score the win against the Vikings, there are opportunities to rack up several more wins with both the San Francisco 49ers and Arizona Cardinals still on the schedule.

And obviously, a win over the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 16 would be even better.
