Former NFL running back and New York Jet Zac Stacy has been arrested in Florida after he assaulted and beat Kristin Evans—his ex-girlfriend and mother of his son. Video evidence shows Stacy punching Evans, before retired pro-footballer threw her into a television. As reported by Kenneth Garger of the New York Post:

“In a restraining order, Evans claims Stacy had been abusing her since she became pregnant with his child last year, with the terrifying attacks escalating.The woman said she previously filed a police report in October when Stacy allegedly slapped her while she was holding their son.”

Stacy was charged with two felonies, namely: aggravated assault and criminal mischief. The former New York Jet also spent time with the St. Louis (now Los Angeles) Rams early in his career, and eventually had stints in the Canadian Football League and the defunct Alliance of American Football.The affidavit for the arrest of Stacy, obtained by the New York Post, stated that:

“He continued yelling at her and striking her while she got up from the floor, and picked her up again and threw her into the baby’s bouncy chair.

While she was still on the floor pleading for him to stop, he picked her up and body-slammed her onto a baby walker, causing the object to break.”

While Stacy initially managed to escape the scene immediately after the assault, he was arrested in Orlando, and subsequently detained in the Orange County Jail. According to Evans, this was not the first time Stacy assaulted her.

Kristin Evans later released a series of video clips on social media, where she gave updates on herself and on the possible whereabouts of Stacy, prior to his capture by law enforcement.

Evans is now back in the hospital with the injuries she suffered in the attack, per TMZ.
