In the weeks that have followed the Super Bowl LII loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, there has been much uncertainty surrounding the NFL future of New England Patriots All-Pro tight end Rob Gronkowski. He had voiced some doubt about coming back next season with eyes toward taking some time to possibly contemplate retirement.

Gronk has largely been publicly quiet about this chatter with no inkling as far as what he plans to do next with his NFL career. With that in mind, the 28-year-old took to social media on Saturday morning to hint at what route he may ultimately decide to take next.

Gronkowski looks to be hinting at taking his future into his own hands by doing what's best for himself and not give into temptation. It's unclear at what that possible temptation is at this point in time, but there has been some talk of possible interest into transitioning into becoming an actor.

There is the possibility that he makes the jump to the WWE, where his passion for the industry has been well-documented. His close friend, WWE superstar Mojo Rawley, has already stated that it's just a matter of time before Gronkowski becomes a professional wrestler.

The Pro Bowl tight end is still under contract through the 2019 season, as he still has two years left on his six-year, $54 million extension with $19 million left in both base salary and bonuses. On top of that, he is coming off yet another highly productive campaign where he led the team with 69 receptions (69), 1,084 receiving yards (1,084), and eight touchdowns while earning a Pro Bowl selection and a First-Team All-Pro nod.

At this time, there doesn't appear to be much of an internal push from the Patriots to get a decision from Gronkowski. But if there is anything to take away from this cryptic tweet is that this could be sorted out in the near future.
