During his six years in Philadelphia, DeSean Jackson was a deadly deep threat for the Eagles‘ offensive attack. He left the franchise on poor terms, but with new head coach Doug Pederson and rookie quarterback Carson Wentz running the show, Jackson is apparently open to a return.
After a strong first season in Washington, Jackson's numbers have dropped off a bit the last couple of years. An injury ended his 2015 campaign early, and while his numbers aren't where they used to be this year, he's still an important part of the Redskins‘ offense. He stretches the field with his blazing speed that remains intact at age 30, creating space and opportunities for teammates Jordan Reed, Jamison Crowder, Vernon Davis, and Pierre Garcon.
Jackson back to Philly?
Essentially, his skill set is exactly what the Eagles are missing, making a reunion quite plausible. Jackson hits free agency on March 9th, and while a number of teams like likely vie for his services, he has reported interest in Philly.
From ESPN's Tim McManus:

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Sunday that the Eagles are likely to pursue a reunion with Jackson.
A few months back, Jackson addressed his current feelings towards the Eagles organization now that Chip Kelly, who released him after a career season, is gone:
“I never really had hard feelings toward Philadelphia. Besides being released by whoever released me, I mean, that's different. But I guess he's not there no more,” Jackson said with a laugh, referencing Kelly. “It's never really been hard feelings to the city, to the team, to the organization. But things happen and we move on.”
Overall, the Eagles' receiver depth is severely low. Wentz' top two targets, Dorial Green-Beckham and Nelson Agholor, are 111th and 132nd in receiving yards, respectively. That won't cut it.
During his six seasons with the Eagles, Jackson eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark three teams while going over 900 yards twice. His career-high came in his final year, as Jackson compiled 1,332 yards through the air while scoring nine touchdowns in 2013.
