Halftime: Commanders 7 Chiefs 7 Washington has more yards (194-156), fewer turnovers (+1) and controlled the clock. Excellent work overall, outside of not putting up more points given trips into KC territory. Holding Mahomes to 7 is an accomplishment.

Unlike last week, when the Commanders squandered a scoring drive in the final two minutes of the first half, Washington held on to keep it 7-7 at the break. Trey Amos had a big PBU against Xavier Worthy on 2nd-and-10.

Washington has 194 total yards to 156 for KC. Commanders 5-7 on third downs; 4th down was the issue. Some heads up play by Mariota; keeps eyes up to find guys.

Washington has done just about everything it could in the first half. Forced two turnovers. Zero penalties. Good drives. Needed to finish better but that half was quite a response to last week. Just need to keep it going.
