On Thursday night, the NFL officially got back to business with the Baltimore Ravens and Chicago Bears going head-to-head in the Hall of Fame game. Before the first preseason game began, this year's inductees to the Pro Football Hall of Fame were introduced with one notable exclusion in Terrell Owens.

Although Owens was not in attendance in Canton, Ohio, the controversial wideout was still a topic of discussion around the league and has been for many weeks prior. Even Owens' former Philadelphia Eagles coach Andy Reid talked about the Hall of Famer and unlike many others, gave him praise for being as coachable as they come in the NFL, via Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk.

“He is one of the most coachable guys I’ve ever been around,” Reid told reporters. “You’d ask him to do something and he would do it at 100 miles per hour and live. There is a difference when you are coaching. Some guys will do it on the bags at 100 miles per hour but when they do it live they kind of go back to what they are very comfortable doing. That wasn’t T.O. You give him something and he would do it. There were times we would be coming out of the huddle and he’d wink at me and I’d know we were probably going to have a good play right there.”`

Clearly, the current Kansas City Chiefs head coach enjoyed his short time with Owens in Philadelphia. Owens helped lead the team to its only Super Bowl appearance with Reid at the helm and played with a badly injured leg in the process while putting up impressive numbers catching nine passes for 122 yards.

Owens enters the Hall of Fame with other notable names from his era like Randy Moss, Brian Urlacher, Brian Dawkins, and Ray Lewis.
