Since tearing his ACL and LCL back in early December, Philadelphia Eagles Pro Bowl quarterback Carson Wentz has continued to progress forward in his recovery from the injuries. In the process, he has kept his eyes on being back on the field come Week 1 of the 2018 campaign.
Wentz has made that goal look more realistic as the weeks have passed this offseason. This now appears even more likely after he revealed on Tuesday morning that he has begun to start running in his recovery program, according to Jeff McLane of the Philly.com.

But, like I said late last season, it’s such a fluid process. It’s so hard to put a timeframe and a timetable on these things. I wish I knew, as well.”
This is another major step forward as Wentz hits another major hurdle in his rehab from the injury. There is no rush to get him back on the field, but the 25-year-old is inching forward in a promising manner that gives off much optimism about where he should be at physically once the 2018 season gets underway.
The Eagles also have the comfort of possessing a more than feasible fill-in option with Nick Foles, who has proven he can take the team to great heights in the playoffs. There is no pressure on Wentz to be on the field if he isn't ready to do with Foles being able to carry that temporary responsibility for however long is necessary this upcoming season.
It shouldn't take away from the promising progress that the third-year quarterback has made in the last few months that should see him get back on the field at some point over the offseason or the preseason.
