Carson Wentz was on track to be in the MVP conversation last season for the Philadelphia Eagles before going down with a torn ACL late in the season. That led to a miraculous run for Nick Foles in the playoffs to lead the Eagles to a Super Bowl win over Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. That being said, Wentz is still the face of the franchise in Philadelphia.

Over the past two weeks, Wentz has been back in the starting lineup and has been playing good football. He has completed 66.7 percent of his passes for 603 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception.

In an interview with Philly.com, Wentz talked about his knee injury from last season and how he has felt so far this year.

“Personally, I feel good where I'm at as far as processing and in-game speed, and even being comfortable with the guys out there. So, I feel good where I'm at as far as seeing all that stuff. And physically, I feel great. I feel I'm picking up [where I left off] on the field last year. To me, the knee thing is behind me, and now we're going forward.”

That statement is music to every Eagles' fans ears. Wentz is one of the best quarterbacks in the league, and to hear he is mentally past his injury from last season is a big step in the right direction.

Philadelphia is currently 2-2 to start the 2018 season. It isn't exactly where they wanted to be, but they still feel very confident about their chances. Having Wentz back healthy and wide receiver Alshon Jeffery back on the field is a major boost for their offense.

Looking ahead to Week 5, the Eagles are set for a tough matchup at home against the Minnesota Vikings. Kirk Cousins and the Vikings have gotten off to a sluggish start this season as well and are looking to prove a point against the team that knocked them out of the playoffs last season in the NFC Championship Game.

Wentz will be asked to put up big numbers against a dangerous defense and will have another chance to show just how good he is when he's healthy and running the Eagles' offense.
