Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Devon Allen has been making noise in the 110m hurdles event in track and field. He's been one of the best in the world as he's easily progressed to each round of the World Athletics Championships. However, on Sunday, he was disqualified from the event due to an extremely controversial call and Twitter set fire accordingly.

According to NBC Olympics, Allen was disqualified because his reaction to the starting gun was .001 seconds faster than the allowed .1 second threshold. For that reason, the Eagles receiver technically false started, thus disqualifying him from the event.

Devon Allen reacted to the controversial call immediately after the disqualification. Chris Chavez shares the video of Allen breaking down what happened, as the Eagles wide receiver isn't pleased with the outcome.

Robert Griffin III couldn't believe his eyes either, as he shows a close-up video of Devon Allen's start on the disqualification. In this clip, it appears the Eagles player starts at the exact same time as his opposing competitor.

Eagles teammate Darius Slay also found the disqualification ridiculous after sharing a two-word reaction.

Devon Allen clearly has the support of most people, as his start wasn't premature to the starting gun. It's an odd rule that the World Athletics Championships regulates, but they apparently follow it with very strict guidelines. Sal Capaccio and Cre'Von LeBlanc also react to the controversial call that disqualified the Eagles wide receiver Devon Allen from the competition.

Perhaps the rules will change after this controversial call, but the likelihood of that happening is not great.
