Philadelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson lauded quarterback Carson Wentz's progress in 2019, specifically noting his development as a leader.
Pederson spoke about Wentz's overall growth during an appearance on SiriusXM NFL Radio, indicating he did an excellent job of working in some of the young players amid a slew of injuries on the offensive side of the football:

Wentz threw for over 4,000 yards and 27 touchdowns while leading the Eagles to a playoff berth, but his perseverance and confidence were particularly resonant in the locker room.
The Eagles won each of their last four games to capture the NFC East, with Wentz throwing seven touchdowns against zero interceptions (though he did lose a pair of fumbles). Wentz was insistent the Eagles could ride their momentum to another Super Bowl, but he never got that chance.
Wentz was knocked out of Philly's Wild Card matchup against the Seattle Seahawks after being driven to the ground by Jadeveon Clowney. He left the game in the first quarter and did not return as the Seahawks held on for a 17-9 victory.
