Finally, the news that every Philadelphia Eagles fan has been waiting for has come to fruition. The team has now played Jalen Hurts in his second straight possession, officially marking his takeover ahead of Carson Wentz.
And for the second straight series in Green Bay, Jalen Hurts is playing quarterback and Carson Wentz is on the bench.

Considering Carson Wentz's struggles this season, this personnel move is long overdue. Although Wentz is capable of playing at an elite level, he has been doing the complete opposite this 2020.
Through 12 games, Wentz has a completion percentage under 60 percent for the first time in his career (58.1 percent) and almost has a 1:1 TD to INT ratio with 16 touchdowns and 15 interceptions for the Eagles.
Wentz leads the NFL not only in interceptions, but also in overall turnovers this season. He does not seem to be able to get back to that MVP-caliber play that fans saw only a few years ago.
The Eagles took Jalen Hurts with their second round pick (53rd overall) in the 2020 NFL Draft. In the NFL, you don't take a player that high unless you have expectations for them to make an impact. It's not a surprise that Hurts makes an appearance.
Hurts is a dynamic-dual threat quarterback who has big-play ability. Hurts has star potential, considering he was a Heisman candidate in his last year at Oklahoma.
Subbing Wentz for Hurts was always the right move, but the Eagles may have waited a bit too long. They currently sit third in the NFC East after having a division lead for multiple weeks.
Wentz's blunders really hurt Philadelphia down the stretch in tight games. One can only imagine if things would have been different if Hurts was under center.
