Running back LeGarrette Blount accomplished the incredible feat of winning back-to-back Super Bowls with two different teams after helping the Philadelphia Eagles take down the New England Patriots. Blount will have the chance to go for the hat-trick this offseason as he hits free agency once again.
But in a recent appearance on NFL Network, Blount sounds as if he wouldn't mind sticking around in Philadelphia next season to help the Eagles defend their title.

It’s a mutual respect and mutual agreement thing about how we feel about each other. You guys know how I feel about the guys, the team. I love those guys. I can’t stay enough about Duce just for the simple fact of how well I was coached there and how good he helped me understand things. I feel like Duce is one of the best running back coaches, one of the best coaches I’ve ever had in my entire life. Obviously, I want to be a part of that for a while so we’ll see how it goes.”
Blount had 766 rushing yards and just two rushing touchdowns with the Eagles during the regular season. Although, he scored a touchdown in each of the team's three playoff games.
If Blount does stay, it will be interesting to see what his role will be alongside the Eagles' two young running backs. Jay Ajayi is set for his full season on the team following his midseason trade from Miami. Meanwhile, Corey Clement showed flashes of what he's capable of as a rookie and could see his role expand in Year 2.
But while Blount is preaching caution surrounding his whole situation, it seems as though he has some good reasons to try his best to stay with the team.
