The Philadelphia Eagles are gearing up for their playoff run, which will start on Saturday with a Wild Card matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. With a difficult matchup looming, head coach Nick Sirianni is exploring some unique avenues in regards to motivating his team. While discussing the team's preparations with the media on Wednesday, Sirianni revealed one of the ways he tried to fire up his squad. Sirianni told reporters that he shared an old video of Kobe Bryant addressing the Eagles back in 2017.

Bryant, who attended high school in the Philadelphia area and was a lifelong Eagles fan, spoke to the team back in 2017 ahead of their eventual Super Bowl run. Bryant's underlying message from his motivational speech was that fundamentals are crucial down the stretch and that executing said fundamentals will be key for the squad.
Article Continues BelowSirianni resonates with Bryant's message and decided to bust out the old footage in order to utilize the words of the late Bryant in order to motivate this current Eagles squad. Sirianni credits his assistant for suggesting he used the video to fire up the team.
The Eagles will need to be at their best in order to upend Tom Brady and the Buccaneers and Sirianni is trying to get the team locked in during midweek preparations. The 40-year-old is stressing the importance of fundamentals for the Eagles in their playoff run, and he mentioned that veteran leader Jason Kelce had a similar mindset leading up to the big game.
Sirianni is hopeful that the words from Bryant can light a fire under his guys ahead of what should be a hard-fought battle on Saturday.
