The Philadelphia Eagles have activated wide receiver Mike Wallace from injured reserve heading into Week 17, per Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Wallace, came over to Philly this past offseason after two years with the Baltimore Ravens, has been out since Week 2 after fracturing his fibula.  He had 124 catches for 1,765 yards and eight touchdowns in his two seasons as the Ravens' big-play threat.

He has been hoping for some time that he’d be able to return this season, and he might just be able to do just that. Although, it seems unlikely that Wallace will be able to feature for the Eagles in their must-win matchup against the Washington Redskins. But if the Eagles somehow make it to the postseason, Wallace could still play a part.

The Eagles will need to beat the Redskins and hope the Vikings lose to the Chicago Bears in order to clinch the final wild-card berth in the NFC.

The Eagles have kept their playoff hopes alive thanks to the strong play of quarterback Nick Foles. Philly has won the two games Foles has started since taking over for the injured Carson Wentz. Foles has completed an impressive 74 percent of his passes over those two games and threw for 471 yards with four touchdowns in last week’s win over the Houston Texans.

With Wallace unlikely to be one of Foles’ receiving weapons against the Redskins, he’ll have to rely on the likes of Zach Ertz, Nelson Agholor, Alshon Jeffery, Golden Tate, and Darren Sproles to get the job done in Washington.
