The Philadelphia Eagles have been frequently willing to make trades since general manager Howie Roseman has worked in the front office. They continued to show their eagerness to better their roster on Monday. According to Adam Schefter, Philadelphia is trading safety Johnathan Cyprien to the Atlanta Falcons for linebacker Duke Riley.

Along with swapping defensive players, the Eagles will receive a sixth-round pick in exchange for a seventh-rounder. As the Eagles are in need of help in their secondary, they are ridding of one of their depth options at safety.

At the same time, Cyprien wasn't playing much of a role for the Eagles since joining the team in August. In the first four games of the season, the veteran safety has only been given 15 snaps on defense.

Instead of seeing time on defense, Cyprien was spending the majority of his time on the field on special teams. As a matter of fact, the 29-year-old safety saw 74 snaps on special teams in the team's first four games.

As for Riley, the Falcons drafted him in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft. However, in his two-plus seasons in Atlanta, Riley hasn't shown much to make him a cornerstone of the Falcons defense yet.

Since 2017, the former LSU linebacker has just 84 tackles in his career and has only been on defense for one snap this season. Therefore, Dan Quinn and company felt comfortable shipping him off to another team in the NFL.

The fans in Philadelphia have been calling for the front office to acquire a certain somebody from the Jacksonville Jaguars. This trade isn't for Jalen Ramsey so Eagles fans will likely (not) appreciate this trade.
