Since quarterback Nick Foles helped guide the Philadelphia Eagles win their first Super Bowl last month, it has put the franchise in an intriguing position of deciding his future with the team. There has created much chatter around him possibly being an available commodity in the trade market this offseason.

However, the Eagles have been quite firm on their asking price for any team interested in acquiring the Super Bowl 52 MVP in a trade. According to Chris Mortensen of ESPN, the front office has their eyes set on getting more than the first and fourth-round picks received in the deal for Sam Bradford.

What this asking price clarifies is that Philadelphia has a strong desire to keep Foles on board as it would take a huge offer to pry him away from the team. The front office holds great value in what he could do on the field that has only been heightened with Carson Wentz still on the mend from a torn ACL and LCL. Wentz is aiming to be ready to go by the 2018 season opener, but there is no certainty that he will be able to give it a go that point in time.

The presence of Foles gives the team a formidable backup plan if the 25-year-old is unable to play to start next season. What he demonstrated in the playoffs is that he can not only carry the Eagles to success but he can lead the team to a Super Bowl win with his arm. There aren't many if any other teams that have that luxury on their rosters.

Things could pick up on this front in the coming weeks once the free-agent market takes shape with the likes of Kirk Cousins, Case Keenum, and AJ McCarron each first finding a landing spot. Until then, the asking price has firmly been set on Foles in the trade market.
