The Philadelphia Eagles can clinch the NFC East division title with a win over the New York Giants on Sunday, but with the state of the team's health situation, it's not going to be easy.

Add cornerback Ronald Darby to the list of the Eagles' wounded players, as Philadelphia has placed Darby on injured reserve due to a hip flexor sprain, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Rapoport notes that Darby does not need surgery and could be “fine and ready” in about four weeks, but unless Philly makes a deep playoff run, it's not going to matter for the 2019 NFL season.

This is just the latest injury in what has been a three-year run full of them for Darby.

The Eagles acquired Darby in a trade with the Buffalo Bills back in August 2017, sending wide receiver Jordan Matthews to the Bills in return.

Darby was viewed as an ascending player, as he posted a couple of solid campaigns in his first two seasons in Buffalo, but he was limited to just eight games during his first season in Philadelphia.

Then, last year, Darby appeared in just nine contests, and with the hip injury sidelining him for the Eagles' 2019 season finale, he will have played just 11 games this year.

During the time he was on the field this season, Darby registered 37 tackles, a pair of interceptions and 11 passes defended.

The 25-year-old, who played his collegiate football at Florida State, was originally selected by the Bills in the second round (50th pick overall) of the 2015 draft.
