While the Pittsburgh Steelers are one of the remaining unbeaten teams in the NFL, JuJu Smith-Schuster has had a quiet start to the season. Despite his slow start in the offense, Smith-Schuster doesn't seem too concerned about his individual stats.
“I’m happy being 5-0,” Smith-Schuster said, via Joe Rutter of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. “People tell me you only got me two points this week in fantasy. I’d rather have two points and be 5-0 than be 1-5 and have 25 fantasy points. . . . I’m having fun all the time whether I get the ball or not. Whether it’s two catches for 10 yards or six catches for 60 yards, it’s more for the team and the atmosphere.”
With the return of Ben Roethlisberger under center for Pittsburgh, Smith-Schuster was expected to show he's capable of being a No. 1 wideout. In Week 1, it looked as if that would come to fruition as he hauled in six passes for 69 yards and two touchdowns versus the New York Giants.

Plus, he's seen five or fewer targets in the passing game in the past three games. At the same time, rookie Chase Claypool, Diontae Johnson, and even James Washington have all thrived in the offense in recent weeks.
Seeing that Smith-Schuster is in a contract year with the Steelers, his production could determine whether or not he remains in Pittsburgh. Nevertheless, the former second-round pick is focused on helping the Steelers win and enjoying his time with his current team — even if it means sacrificing personal accolades.
